Die Tätigkeit der Stiftung
aus Sicht der Biologen

„Eine unerlässliche Voraussetzung für erfolgreiche Forschung und Wissenschaft ist ein weltweiter Austausch von Gedanken und Methoden.

In unserer Fakultät für Biologie erfüllt die Reinhold-und-Maria-Teufel-Stiftung dabei eine wichtige Aufgabe durch Leistung von Kostenbeihilfen.“

Forschungslabors

Sie ermöglicht besonders begabten Studentinnen und Studenten den Besuch anderer Forschungslabors, um dort ihr Methodenspektrum zu erweitern.

Fachkongresse

Sie fördert außerdem die Teilnahme an wissenschaftlichen Fachkongressen. Dies ist sehr wichtig, da hier die eigenen Ergebnisse präsentiert werden und so eine konstruktive Kritik durch externe Fachleute auf dem entsprechenden Gebiet möglich wird. Auf diese Weise ergeben sich darüber hinaus neue Kontakte und ein zusätzlicher Erfahrungsaustausch.

Forschungsaufenthalte

Auch solange die Mittel noch reichlicher flossen, gab es relativ wenige Möglichkeiten, Forschungsaufenthalte, besonders im Ausland, zu finanzieren. Die Stiftung schließt hier wirklich eine Lücke. Die Stifter und nachfolgenden Vorstände haben damit weitblickend gehandelt.
